Think and Grow Rich was a landmark among many other most impactful books of the past century. The book was originally published in 1937 and consists of 13 principles which have been transforming the lives of many people, from the 20th century till now.

A strong belief can in your abilities lead you truly to definite purpose. Hill insists that you have to have a written statement of your goals and targets. You must be very specific about your goals. If you want monetary success, you have to write the exact amount of money that you desire also the specific date on which you'll get that money.

Writing the above specifications of your goal on a piece of paper and reading it twice a day; before and after the bed. Through this practice you will give the stimulus of grandness to the subconscious Mind of your goals that it must be accomplished. Visualization is potent in achieving your goals.Visualizing the person that you want to be in future is like you already reached that position in your mind. You have to visualize the money that you desire as if you have the money in your hand already. Through this practice you trained your subconscious to perform massive, bold and required action on you towards your goal. Apart from auto suggestions specialized knowledge is necessary for attaining excellence in your work. This knowledge can either be gained through personal observations or from studying greats who have already been through. Personal experiences and experiments are also more effective in acquiring new skills in your chosen craft. You have to have accurate knowledge to become an expert in your domain.This knowledge must then be organized and specified to create values for your goals.
CREATIVE imagination and Organized planning
Hill says, in the book, that there are two types of imagination: synthetic imagination and creative imagination. Synthetic imagination combines and arrange old concepts and ideas, that already exists in mind, into new ones which required no efforts. On the other hand, creative imagination detects new ideas from the surroundings, grasping new thought patterns and creating new plans and systems of thinking out of them which requires much effort.
Creative imagination produces awesome Ideas and ideas are the beginning point of every fortune. Hill gave the examples of some geniuses in the book who had brought revolutions that began with an idea. Thomas Edison came up with an idea of inventing a light bulb, although he failed so much in creating it. But the idea that he had, which was born of creative imagination, was meritorious. Hill also gave examples of America’s most successful business magnates like John d Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford etc who came up with an idea that changed everything. To put forward such intangible ideas for turning its natural into tangible reality; an organized planning is essential. A well conducted plan to work flawlessly on your ideas. So creative imagination is necessary to bring forth great ideas and then for materialization of those ideas, a well- organized planning is inevitable.
Decision and Persistence
Hill had studied over 25000 people and found that procrastination was the major cause of failure. This procrastination lead people to indecisiveness. Hill says in the book that great people take decisions fast and change their minds slowly
While mediocres lack the ability to take decisions fast and change their minds quickly. Decisive people hits the target. Indecisiveness comes from procrastination, for that Hill had also provided steps to overcome procrastination. Taking decisions keenly will not only work without having the persistence to stand on it. No matter how burning the desire is or how strongly your faith is , if you don’t have the persistence to get stick with your plans and goals you’ll end up petrified and stagnant. Decisiveness and Persistency is mandatory for getting the equivalent monetary or spiritual success of your efforts .
POWER of Mastermind
It will be more effective to have a group of thoughts in your journey to excellence than driving the car with one wheel. The Subconscious Mind and
The Brain.
The subconscious mind serves as the transmitting medium to the conscious brain. Hill says that if you implant a desire in your subconscious mind , it will induce the conscious part of the brain to perform according to your desire. This part of the brain transmits various signals to the conscious brain , controlling all of its functions. Our subconscious mind has a very significant impact on our behaviors, that's why in the Autosuggestion chapter (discussed above) Hill insists to read ourselves the mission statement often so that our subconscious mind will recognize our goals and eventually our behavior towards our goals will become new- normal. It is because this part of the brain can't distinguish between what is important for us and what is not. So we have to repeat our mission statement to ourselves so that the subconscious mind would be triggered by the information and our behavior towards our aspiration will be controlled. The subconscious mind is the Link between the finite mind of humans and infinite intelligence.
Sowing the seeds of negative emotion in it will gravely affect your behavior towards everything in your life because you do according to what is present in your subconscious mind. That's why injecting Autosuggestions is essential to your subconscious. If you are injecting positive emotions through Autosuggestions then there will be no room for negative emotions to flourish.
